The young co-researchers today attended a workshop led by Spark for Innovation and Creativity in collaboration with the Institute of Education at University College London. The workshop started out with an engaging brainstorming activity where the co-researchers discussed their views on gender inequality in STEM-related education. The importance of the topic was further highlighted through a presentation of compelling data on the participation of men and women in STEM education in the MENA region. Furthermore, the co-researchers were given an overview of the main steps in the research process, which equipped them with the knowledge they needed to efficiently gather and analyse data from their peers who frequently attend Spark to conduct their own research.
