Amid the escalating conflict in Gaza, Spark for Innovation and Creativity has emerged as a key provider of humanitarian support, reaching over 6,000 children and families. Spark’s initiatives include psychosocial support, and educational, recreational, and emergency aid, ensuring holistic care for Gaza’s most vulnerable populations.
Mental Health Support for Children
Spark provided 8 psychological workshops for 200 children, offering safe spaces for self-expression through art, drawing, and emotional dialogue. Supervised by specialists, these sessions helped children process trauma, build self-confidence, and express their feelings. One child noted, “I loved drawing; it made me happy to see my colors fill the page.”
Recreational and Educational Activities
Spark ran interactive recreational sessions including puppet shows, circus performances, and musical activities for over 700 children. Educationally, Spark facilitated 6 interactive science workshops for 180 children, inspiring curiosity and bridging gaps caused by displacement. A child described the experience as “like magic!”
Emergency Aid for Displaced Families
To address urgent needs, Spark provided tents, hot meals, food parcels, and clean water. Over 3,000 families received fresh meals, while 250 food parcels and baby supplies were delivered to the most vulnerable. Clean drinking water was supplied to areas with water shortages, ensuring families had access to safe water.
